Sel's Savings
« on: October 12, 2009, 10:00:10 PM »
I had fun at Pubic Hairs tonight.

Using coupons, I got:

1 lb ground turkey
1.5 lbs sirloin steaks
12 cups yogurt
2 pouches tuna
1 box f1b3r 1 cereal
1 head leaf lettuce
1 head red cabbage
1 package inst. potatoes
1 lys0l spray cleaner

for $8.36 (basically the cost of the meat).

You people who coupon probably know the yogurt is 25 cents for 4 (or if you're lucky- free), tuna = free, cleaner = 35 cents, etc.

Good stuff out there. Not as good as finding it in the bins, but I've never had good luck finding good food.

SB and I had the steaks + gravy (from drippings), inst pot, salad & he made cornbread from scratch.

Seriously. With what I bought yesterday and hopefully what I can get today. I figure $20/week for two people isn't bad at all.

What do you think?

P u b l 1 x

They double up to, and including, 50 cent coupons (no triples unfortunately).

I also had a $5 off $20 coupon since SB changed his moving addy (get lots of coupons in the mail).

Grand total was: $31.62 before coupons/savings.

See vee ess is offering ECB's for those who use their own bags. You get one ECB for every 4th trip. You do have to put out 99 cents initially, but it adds up in the end if you visit their store a lot.

Seriously.

I'm surprised ohio hasn't mentioned this one yet.

He's usually so on top of things.

Anyway, every 4th trip- you get an ECB. Adds up, especially if you're only giving them pocket change for 50+ bucks worth of stuff each time.

Hmm. I must have missed it.

Did you print the Q for the lip saver stuff? It's free afterwards.

Thanks.

I loaded up on Q's in the lab. Hopefully, my arch nemesis hasn't "bought" everything yet.
