I got a call today from my friend J. Who works part time at the Vet.

She's helped me find homes for about 1/2 dozen other Cats in similar situations.

She updated me on Bleu's present condition.

He's become very lovable with several of the tech's at the Vet, He head butts, Rubs against their legs and allows some people to pet him.

Right now he's still on antibiotics and also temporarily on Lorazepam (Valium) to help keep him calmed down in his new temporary environment.

J says one of her friends may want to adopt Bleu, I'll know soon.

I think all the time I've spent socializing with him in the field has paid off. I'll be so happy for him if he's adopted.

One of my adopted Cats is named Oscar.
He needs some bionic claws.
Someone declawed him. :x

Actually Oscar adopted me.

Oscar showed up at the front door a couple years ago, I let him in, fed him and he never left after that.
He does insist on being let back outside for awhile...He does NOT want to use the litterbox.

He evidently does his thing outside, explores a bit, then he always comes right back and spends the night indoors.
Lovable Cat. I did post local flyers but no body wanted to claim him.

The Vet says the litter (even fine stuff) may hurt his paws because of being ultra sensitive from being declawed.
She says it's a common problem, They pee in the house, on carpets, behind furniture, etc.
Some Cats end up being surrendered after that, Usually end up euthanized.

Wish they would outlaw declawing. :x

Just read my e-mails,

Good news!

Bleu has been accepted by a well known non-profit animal rescue farm.

He will live in "Kitty City" (a huge indoor/outdoor Cat kennel) and they will still try and find a good home for him, But if not he can stay.

The tech's at the vet tell me Bleu has become so lovable and gentile.

He's still recovering from the side effects of the antibiotics that was administered for the infected paw after his surgery, (diarrhea).

Bleu looks just like Takkun's digging Cat pic.

Speaking of kittehs, I think my cat is too fat.

He tried to lick his butt today and failed. It was truly sad watching him try to reach it.

So, I started exercising him more- he likes to chase ribbons on a dowel.

Any other ideas before my gelatinous blob of a cat takes over the house (yes, he is fed a very specific amount of cat food each day for his weight and has no worms/bugs)?

Wow. He's not that big, but he is on his way...

I exercise him every day (he chases the ribbon stick). I suppose I could get a kitty treadmill. He's deathly afraid of the other cats, so no kitty play.

I have him on a "sensitive stomach" food because if I don't- he has pancake shits.

Nice.

Maybe I'll try switching to something else.

He's about 20lbs and a very long cat (maybe has some Siamese?).

There's a giant moo-cat lolling around on my floor, meowing and stretching (he wants me to feed him)! I've gotta fix/get a new camera.

He's over 18 lbs now!
