Poor lil Rhody, even smaller now!
« on: April 03, 2010, 03:54:46 AM »
I am sick of it.  I am sick of the water, I am sick of the smell.  :buck2:  I am sick of blocked roads, and sump pumps.  I better not hear a single mumbling about a water shortage this summer.

Anyone who lives within a mile of the Blackstone river needs their head examined.  :uglystupid2:

When people finally realize there is no “away”,
will they stop throwing things there?

That could be said for anyone that lives near something that floods on a regular basis.

I can't remember where it was, but this one place was flooding like every year, wiping most everything out each time. The insurance company's/local gov said "Forget this, we will pay for you guys to move away from this place. Or we stop insuring it. Your call."

Nope, I'm not near the Blackstone.
They calling this the worst flooding in a century.
I think people who live along the banks of the Mississippi were crazy.  Don't they deal with flooding every spring?
The kind of flooding we've had I'm sure looks like small potatoes to anyone who deals with flooding all the time.

We had an entire mall under water.  They had to close down parts of I95, so it was pretty serious for us.  I think they said we got something like 17 inches of rain during the month of March.
